CCCA Annual Rhubarb Social  - June 13, 2018

Our Annual Rhubarb Social will be held on June 13. Everyone loves rhubarb -- when it’s mixed with sugar! This is one of our most popular events and a good way to say hello to summer.

To help out with this event, please call Calleen at 902-940-5650.

Canoe Cove First Nation Recognition and Celebration

Abegweit First Nation Chief Brian Francis, Elder Doreen Jenkins, and the Canoe Cove Community Association invite everyone to a special celebration and potluck to recognize the First Nations people of Canoe Cove, to be held on
June 23rd at the Canoe Cove School.

Last summer a sign in Mi'kmaq was added to our roadside welcome sign boards in Canoe Cove to acknowledge that the Mi'kmaq nation were the first people on Prince Edward Island.

This summer we are holding a special event to recognize and celebrate our Mi'kmaq history, and we invite all Canoe Cove residents and those in surrounding areas to participate..

We will begin at 5 PM with a Sweet Grass Ceremony, followed by speeches by Chief Brian Francis and MLA Peter Bevan-Baker.
Elder Doreen Jenkins will lead a special prayer before we all sit down to enjoy a potluck dinner.

This is a family event and all ages are invited to attend. Please bring a potluck dish to share with all!

We hope to see you on June 23rd!
